Artist Statement
I am interested in interactions between landscape, movement, and memory. I am also deeply interested how sound is affected by space and material.
Teaching Philosophy
As a teaching artist, I engage my students in creative experimentation - centering the idea that artists follow their curiosity. I help my students explore various materials and media, learning how each is useful to them. I also help students strengthen their resilience and ability to persist when they experience challenges over the course of a project.
I am passionate about making arts education more accessible and equitable, especially since arts education is so often sidelined in school settings. Everyone deserves the space and encouragement to creatively express themselves.
